Highlights
Restarted this blog post and and it all worked without me having to do too much. That was good.
Used Claude Code to build a basic queuing tool to manage how we use 3d printers at work. I hope it gives us a sense of what needs to be done and decreases overall mental load for the people involved.
I and Sindhu spent sometime today thinking about the places we wanted to travel to this year. This is super exciting and am already looking forward to doing this.
Planned to and attended all the three workouts this week. This was not something I have been able to. So that was good.
Thing(s) I Learned
- Learnt about Tailscale and used it for something I am working on. It is so cool.
- Been learning making PCB designs through an extension of my work on the wiring harness tool I put together last year.
- Learnt that PLA channels are not the best way to hold an exhaust fan at home. We learn and we grow.
Currently Reading/Watching/Listening
Green Hollow Duology - A (not so) secret santa gift from Sindhu.
Glad we Met: The Art and Science of 1:1 Meetings — Steven Rogelberg, Ph.D. - A very easy to read book about doing better at One-on-One meetings.
Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix
Modern Family Reruns with Sindhu
Not particularly listening to anything specific these days.
Question(s) I’m Sitting With
I have a big deadline coming up in a couple of months. I am thinking about the best way to de-risk and make the deadline with resources we have.
Some Background
I have wanted to write all my adult life. I got to it in fits and bursts over many years. My last successful attempt was when I took to notetaking on Obsidian seriously. It was great doing it but I fell off the wagon pretty spectacularly over the last couple of years.
So here we are. At the start of a new year with me trying to do this (again). I really do hope that I stick to it.
